An effective workplace communication program is driven by leaders who facilitate employee engagement. Interpersonal relationships with co-workers, suppliers and customers, managed through effective communication, have a powerful effect on business. Change, when coupled with work overload, shifting priorities and challenging workplace dynamics can produce
unbearable levels of stress,
leading to negative professional and personal consequences reflected in interpersonal communication. Misunderstandings and conflicts can be stressful,
frustrating and costly.
Effective communication is critical to creating a productive and empowering work environment. Employee engagement and trust results when people feel heard, valued and empowered. In this program, participants develop active listening skills, the ability to facilitate conversations, create awareness and develop their communication and relationship management skills. To inspire or motivate others to higher levels of performance, lead transformation, inspire collaboration and facilitate innovation,
leaders must first demonstrate that they can lead themselves.
Developing habits of self respect by setting and honoring boundaries, actively listening, managing accountability integrates strategic thinking, problem solving and compassion into a dynamic leadership development model. Learning to conduct challenging conversations with intention facilitates this leadership development process. The Workplace Communication Program provides the concepts, practices, tools and resources in a high-impact action-learning environment to help participants develop their leadership, communications and coaching skills.

Anyone wishing to improve their listening, communications, leadership and coaching skills; individuals with direct reports, in transition, facing a promotion, leading project teams or those coordinating complex projects.
Program Description
The Workplace Communication Program is a coach/trainer-led experiential train the trainer program combined with self-study activity. The program introduces participants to the ACT coaching model – a practical leadership development tool. The Workplace Communication Program is an introduction to personal leadership improvement through communications skills development and may be extended through coaching circles, additional workshops or one on one coaching.

Program Format
The Workplace Communication Program is a 1/2 day Workshop designed as a stand-alone format or as an effective introduction to Intentional Conversations an extended KAIZEN Leadership Development Program, delivered in 32 hours of training and follow-up on-the-job action coaching, over a period of six months. Also available in 45 minute interactive and fun
Lunch and Learn Sessions.
Extended Programs offer Additional Action-Learning Opportunities
- A phased-in learning approach through on-the-job action learning, one on one coaching, self study, additional workshops to deepen and integrate the learning through action.
- Participants bring real-life business or life-communication improvement challenges to the Workplace Communications Training Program.
Coaching Circles, following the introductory workshop, designed strategically around on-the-job development needs focus on real-time issues, facilitate peer problem-solving and support, enhance communication, collaboration and improve productivity. An orientation session, pre-program briefing notes, program description and agenda, and resource list is provided for all participants.
